I just love this! I have an M235i and I'd LOVE a hatch version. I do miss the practicality of the GTI I sold but love the RWD + power of the BMW

Why don't they just sell it like that from the factory? Less work, costs less, looks better.

Cheaper cars usually have lower profit margins. Making it look bad provides more of an incentive to step up the next cheapest model. Also keeps the people who pay more for their car looking just like the poors.
Not saying that's the reason here, just a couple of possibilities. especially since the M135i is probably not all that cheap.
